My work spans health economics, economic modeling, program evaluation, evidence synthesis, and policy-focused technical writing. I have contributed to projects involving HIV prevention, PrEP access, CMS drug policy implementation, oncology payment models, chronic disease prevention, post-acute care quality, caregiving access, behavioral health prevention, and patient-centered outcomes research.

Long-Acting PrEP Impact Modeling

Supported an economic model evaluating the potential public health and economic impact of long-acting injectable PrEP compared with daily oral PrEP in the United States. The model estimated HIV infections averted and lifetime medical cost savings over a 10-year horizon.

My contributions included reviewing literature, identifying model inputs, updating an Excel-based economic model, conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses, supporting interpretation of findings, and contributing to a peer-reviewed manuscript.

U.S. PrEP Cost Analysis

Contributed to an analysis estimating the costs of expanding access to PrEP medications and services in the United States. The project examined drug costs, ancillary services, outreach and navigation, payer mix, coverage policies, 340B pricing, and manufacturer discount programs.

My work supported an Excel-based cost calculator and policy-facing materials used to inform discussions about PrEP access and financing.

Ketamine for Treatment-Resistant Depression Impact Analysis

Contributed to a population-level Markov simulation model estimating the economic impacts of expanded access to intravenous ketamine for treatment-resistant depression compared with electroconvulsive therapy. The model assessed impacts from patient, caregiver, payer, and societal perspectives.

Diabetes Economic Burden Analysis

Contributed to a state-level analysis estimating diabetes-attributable costs in the United States. The study examined direct medical costs, indirect costs, payer-specific costs, morbidity-related productivity losses, mortality-related productivity losses, and state-level variation in economic burden.

Cardiovascular Disease Burden Forecasting

CMS Medicare Prescription Drug Policy Support

Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust Healthy Living Program Evaluation

Supported evaluation of community-based programs targeting tobacco use, obesity, and chronic disease risk factors across 30 grantees and 14 intervention strategies.

After an unexpected staffing change, I led a complex analysis with limited documentation, cleaned and compiled more than 50 data files, conducted simulation-based sensitivity analyses, calculated intervention strategy inputs, and developed a detailed roadmap for future analyses.

Paul Coverdell National Acute Stroke Program Evaluation

Analyzed stroke registry data from 13 states to evaluate associations between program participation, stroke care quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

My work included descriptive analyses, event study regression analyses, tables and figures, interpretation of findings, and drafting an evaluation report chapter.

Direct Care Worker Wage Trends

Analyzed national and state wage trends for direct care workers, including home health aides, personal care aides, nursing assistants, and workers in other entry-level jobs.

Caregiver Tax Credit Policy Analysis

Patient-Centered Economic Burden and Social Determinants of Health

Led a first-author scoping review examining how patient-centered burdens and economic outcomes vary across sociodemographic characteristics and social determinants of health.

The review synthesized evidence on financial, emotional, physical, and time-related burdens associated with accessing medical care, including direct medical costs, direct non-medical costs, indirect impacts, and intangible burdens.

Non-Monetary Burdens of Out-of-Pocket Costs

Contributed to a scoping review examining non-monetary burdens of out-of-pocket costs incurred by patients and caregivers for medical care.

The review categorized burdens into material, psychological or psychosocial, and coping behavior domains and identified instruments used to measure financial toxicity and related burdens.
